Scottish Non League Review  The Review of 1999/2000 is the thirteenth consecutive annual and like the previous twelve gives all the league tables and results and cup results from each of the six Junior regions and the Highland, East and South of Scotland Leagues as well as details from many minor leagues.  This invaluable guide, often referred to elsewhere as the `bible` of the Scottish non-league scene, should not be missed. Scottish Non League Histories. A sister publication to the REVIEW, appearing on a less regular basis - approximately every two years.   It contains, as the title suggests, historical articles on the game in Scotland, many of which are short histories of clubs, both past and present, as well as histories of cup competitions etc.  Each has around 50 pages. Past Members of the Scottish League. Although there are currently 40 clubs in the Scottish League, there are a similar number of ex-members.These range from those clubs which lasted one season to the likes of Third Lanark who were members for over 70 years.This series of 5 books looks at these clubs, giving the following details, where known: grounds (including the first match played on each of them), club colours, other leagues competed in, honours (including local competitions), their Scottish League year-by-year performance, and a list of players capped.The main part of each clubs section contains ALL their League results, divided into each opponent.  ie Abercorn v Aberdeen, v Airdrie, v Albion Rovers etc. Each part costs £2 (Parts 2 to 5 were originally £3 each).  40p postage for each part should be added. The total series has around 350 pages, an average of 70 pages for each volume.

Scottish Qualifying Cup 1895-1995  Published May 1995, this contains ALL the results for the Qualifying Cup in its various formats over the years, including cup final scorers etc.    Additionally, the results of the Preliminary Rounds of the Scottish Cup (early 1890`s), Scottish Consolation Cup and Victory Cup are also detailed. Senior Non League Football In South West Scotland The first book to cover League football in this area.  Leagues have been in operation in the South for 100 years and there are many long-running cup competitions. As well as all the final tables and cup winners, individual club histories of all current and past member clubs and results of all Scottish Cup ties are given.  An invaluable addition to the history of Scottish football  Now £4 (Was £5.95) (70p postage)

Renfrewshire FA Cup - The First 50 YearsThis is the first book published on a Scottish County Cup competition and contains all the results in the cup for the period (1879 to 1929) as well as cup final line ups and scorers etc, as well as a commentary on a competition which attracted almost 100 different clubs in its first 50 years.     Reduced to £1.50 *     was  £2.25 (45p postage) 

School`s Out - A History of Schools Football in Glasgow`s East End. Written by retired teacher Walter Ewing who was involved with schools football for over 20 years, this booklet covers many of the ups and downs of the schools game, as well as Walter`s own experiences.There are few books on Scottish schools football, and this welcome addition also gives statistical records of the league and cup winners in the Glasgow East Association.Reduced from £1.50 to only 70p (plus 40p postage)

 

Scottish Junior Cup 1989-2001   Contains all the results during this period, plus a run down on what round each club has reached during the period.   In A4 size and printed one side only  £2.50 (70p postage)

History of Cowlairs FC 1876-1896 . A 56 page history of one of the founder members of the Scottish league, who had a short but incident-packed history.  Reduced to £1  - was £2 (plus 40p postage)

The Juniors - 100 Years .The definitive history of the Junior game (published 1986) and contains over 300 pages listing cup and league winners, the history of the game, a large section on the Scottish Junior Cup, a club directory and much, much more.£4.95 (£1.50 postage)

Scottish Junior Football - The Early Years (originally published in 1991)   This 28-page booklet looks at the pre-1900 Junior Football scene, with listings of clubs etc. Reprinted copies now available.    £1.50 (35p postage)

Scottish Non League Football Club Directory  Published in 1997, these have a half page photo of each ground, contact details, and ground directions. Part One is now sold out but Parts 2 (Ayrshire, South-West, Lothian & Borders) and 3 (West and Central Scotland, Grampian and Highlands), are still available for £3 each or £5 the pair (plus postage - 40p each, 70p the pair)

Scottish Football - A Sourcebook  Published 1997 and with details of all publications on Scottish football, newspapers and more.  A 24 page update was published in 1998 and a further update in 2000.   Original book is £2, with each update at 75p each  (40p postage)

The Winners  Published in 2000.  One of the best books published in recent years if you are interested in the history of Scottish football.  Winners of almost every league and cup competition you could ever think of, from both senior and junior.   £5 plus 80p postage
