FEEDBACK
FROM MEETING ON 9th October
We have started the season poorly on the supporters
front. The committee convened a meeting last week to
discuss this and other matters. It is important to keep the
supporters club afloat as the club has been in existence for 30
years. We would ask you the members, who are the club to
support the buses where possible.
We would appreciate feedback, this in mind we plan to hold the next meeting in the Station Hotel Larbert where the members can input anyway we can improve the supporters club in general. This will be on Friday 21st November
Here is some of the idea we plan to introduced.
Going to Tynecastle the bus from now on will leave from the Station hotel, Larbert. It was felt the majority of members in Falkirk are now in this area. We will continue to pick up at the Graeme Hotel and monitor the situation.
The bus to the Celtic game will leave Larbert at 11.50am then the usual pick ups. This should allow the members a pint before the game.
We are targeting the St Mirren game on the 8th November for the next away game. If there is enough interest. The bus hopefully will take in the Glasgow Hearts SC race day. In other words a 'beano' trip
We would also like season ticket holders to take advantage of the 'B' category offer. We play Falkirk on the 22nd of November. With the chance to buy a ticket for a fiver it is an ideal game to bring another Jambo. If you do not plan to use your ticket could you give your voucher to Grant Thorburn. ianshiells@blueyonder.co.uk
AGM 8th AUGUST 2008
Here is some key points that may be of interest to those unable to attend this years AGM. Many thanks for those who did attend. A copy of the balance sheet will be available on the next bus.
Office Bearers :- Chairman Iain Banks. Secretary Gary Hunter. Treasurer Eric Fleming
Others on the committee :- Ian Shiells, Grant Thorburn, David Benson, Henry Snedden and Robert Martin
The price of the coach hire has increased but it was agreed to keep the prices for members at the current rate. However it was agreed to simplify pricing that there will no longer be a reduction for students and unemployed.
Memberships will remain the same at £10 for adults, £5 for under 16's and OAP's. It was agreed to hold regular meetings to increase communication and discuss club affairs.
Buses will be booked to all home games and targeted away games if the membership show interest.
Members will need to source their tickets for away games if there is no bus planned.

HEARTS LEARNING CENTRE
Linlithgow & District Hearts Supporters Club donated £500 earlier in the season and this is the result. Our name will now forever be associated with this venture. Well done everybody. Grant Thorburn will represent the club at the launch on 15th February. Here's a letter received from Hearts confirming the details.
______________
"I write firstly to thank you for the Linlithgow & District Hearts Supporters Club's financial contribution to the new Hearts Learning Centre. It is through pledges such as these that we are able to develop, sustain and expand our activities within the Heart of Midlothian Education and Community Trust and for this assistance we are extremely grateful.
Further to our recent telephone conversations I would like to officially confirm the Linlithgow & District Hearts Supporters Club as a founding partner in the Hearts Learning Centre. Recognition of the Linlithgow & District Hearts Supporters Club will be made on future publications for the centre and on the Hearts website.
Should you wish to discuss any aspect of the Hearts Learning Centre please do not hesitate to contact me.
The launch of the Hearts Learning Centre will be on Friday 15th February at Tynecastle and an official invitation will be posted out to you shortly.
Once again many thanks for your support and I hope you are able to attend the launch"
Yours in sport
Alan White
Community Development Manager
Heart of Midlothian Community & Education Trust.
The Supporters club is donating £500 from club funds to the Heart of Midlothian Community & Education Trust. Incidentally, since the move was agreed at the AGM Hearts have agreed that the cheque should be handed over at a half time and the Gazette has agreed to cover the story.
